Saybrook Manor Association has 3 beach locations for property owners, guests and renters to use for their enjoyment. These are located at the bottom of Hartford Ave and Middletown Ave. Please note golf cart parking is not allowed at the bottom of Middletown Ave. Hartford Ave has 2 spaces for cart parking and is limited to 1 hour.
Saybrook Manor is nestled between Indian Town and Cove. We ask that all property owners, guests, and renters use the beaches within Saybrook Manor only. Use of Indian Town and Cove beaches are prohibited unless you are a guest of a resident there.
Beach Rules
- Use the beach at your own risk.
- Beach is for the use of SMA members and guests only.
- No dogs are allowed on the beach.
- Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not allowed on beaches.
- No diving or jumping off docks and walls.
- No disturbances or excessive noise after 10 p.m.
- No campfires on the beach.
- Anything left on the beach after dusk will be removed and discarded.
- Riding of skateboards, roller skates/blades, scooters and bicycles is prohibited on all SMA property. This includes the beach walkway and wall. Please place bikes in bike racks. Motorized scooters for people with disabilities are allowed.
Boating Guidelines
- Boats, kayaks, jet skis and recreational watercrafts are not allowed on the beaches or in the swim areas. Nothing should be tethered to the docks or stairs in the swim areas.
- Boat ramp at the end of Hartford Ave is closed on Saturday, Sunday and holidays between the hours of 10am and 4pm due to high activity on the beach during those times.
- Swim areas will be roped off with buoys and floats. Any vessel within 100 ft of buoy shall operate at the minimum speed necessary to maintain steerage. To report violators, contact the Old Saybrook Police Department at 860-395-3143.
